Something for Everyone

Capital Campaign

Michelle and I moved to Wellesley Township in 1997. We both grew up in small, rural towns – Buxton, England for Michelle and Elmira for me. We understood and appreciated what it was like to live in a small, interconnected community. It’s why we moved here and what we wanted for our three children.

We’ve watched as the Township has grown over the past 25 years. And just as the township has grown and changed, so have the needs of its residents. In particular, there’s been a call for more support for our seniors and youth. Additionally, Wellesley Township has seen a demand for more modern, updated recreation spaces. It’s very exciting to see how the Wellesley Township Recreation Centre project will address both of these needs for our residents and so much more. There will truly be Something for Everyone.

The work that the various user groups do in our community to provide so many recreational opportunities are why we choose to live here. Providing these groups with new modern spaces will enable them to improve and grow the services they provide. It means more opportunity for all of us to meet, gather and play. I believe this project will connect us as we come together to use these new physical spaces.

I feel privileged to lead this Capital Campaign and am proud of the campaign team working with me. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to create something that will stand and support Wellesley Township for generations.

Please join me in supporting our Something for Everyone Campaign.

Warm regards, Chris
